Stop The Burning

The Rotary Club of Lampang, like all Rotary Clubs, is not for profit. On the contrary thru our own resources and fundraising we seek to help communities to overcome specific problems for which, otherwise, there would be no affordable solution. W e are proud to be members of an organization dedicated to helping individuals, communities and the environment whenever and wherever it can.

The Rotary Club is a full supporter of the U.S. Consulate Chiang Mai's Northern Thailand Smoke Pollution Solutions initiative. We were proud to be present at their recent seminar held on 17 March 2016, and to have our President, Mr. Boonkoom Boonyasopath, sit on the panel of experts to field  questions, and Mr. Tony Harris, our Shredder Initiative Project Coordinator, in attendance as well.

We have taken advice from farmers, agriculturalists, industrialists and health and public officials alike. The Rotary Shredder offers a simple solution to a highly toxic problem. Shredding is the simplest, cleanest, healthiest and most cost effective alternative to agricultural burning.
